The world’s largest cruise ship, the ‘Oasis of the Seas’, arrived to Málaga yesterday. Before eight o’clock the ship was arriving to the port of the capital and, despite the time, had a lot of curious people expectant in the area before the arrival of this huge ship, with a weight of 225,000 tons and 361 meters long.
It is the first time this impressive ship, whose final destination is Barcelona, is located on European soil, so Thursday Málaga became a world reference for its operational capacity, coinciding with the ‘Marina’, Oceania Cruises, which can accommodate 1,260 passengers and 2,000 crew.
Many of the passengers took the opportunity to visit Málaga city by foot, and also many did rent bicycles and mopets to go into the city. Also many did choose Prima Rent a Car to rent a car to go and explore the coast and inland for the day. Many of them did go to visit, Ronda, Granada, and Marbella.
The ‘Oasis of the Seas’ houses nearly 2,400 American crew and 6,300 passengers to which buses and taxis waited at the Cruise Terminal. Vehicle traffic from the Street to the area was restricted, so that only authorized vehicles passed, including Prima Rent a Car Bicicles and Cars.
